I am a design student at Weber State University. If you would have asked me when I was a freshman in high school, my dream job would have been a doctor. Who could resist the money right? Well, I took a graphics class as an elective and from then on I never wanted to be a doctor again. My teacher convinced me to compete in the desktop publishing competitions for the Technology Student Association. I took first in state both years I competed.
From then on, I really began to pursue a career in graphic design/visual communications, and I am glad I did. I can't think of anything more fitting for me to do with my life.
